How PATH Profit Zones Accesses Your Data

A local, read-only overlay that you control. It runs inside your own browser and puts the numbers you already have in front of you faster. Here is exactly what it reads, where that data goes, and how the tool behaves, in plain language.

It Runs in Your Browser and Shows Data Only to You

PATH Profit Zones is a browser extension. Almost everything it does happens on your own device, inside your own browser session. The product information, charts, and calculations it produces are displayed to you on the page you are looking at. Your data stays with you.

There are two narrow exceptions, both of which we spell out in full in the privacy policy. Premium subscribers have their license key, their device id, and the ASIN of the product page they are viewing sent to our own license server, so we can check the subscription and warm the regional price cache that powers the Buy Box spread widget. Premium subscribers who are asked to agree to updated terms also have that answer recorded against their license. Neither exception involves your Seller Central data, and neither applies to free users.

PATH Profit Zones is a local, read-only overlay that you control. Apart from the premium license and cache-warming calls named above, your data is processed on your device and shown only to you.

What It Reads

PATH Profit Zones works with two kinds of data:

  • Your own Seller Central data. When you ask it to, the extension reads your own FBA inventory locations and your own listing price, using the Seller Central session you are already logged into. This is information you can already see in your own account. The tool simply surfaces it where it is useful, next to the product you are evaluating. In the Bulk ASIN Analyzer, the same session can check whether you are approved to sell each scanned ASIN and, if you ask for it, export your own FBA inventory quantities to a CSV file saved on your computer.
  • Public market data from Keepa. Price history and related product data come from Keepa, using your own Keepa API key. This is the same public market data Keepa already provides.
  • Public offer and seller information on the listing you are viewing. The panel's Offers Table names and rates the sellers on the current listing. When you open it, the extension requests the listing's "All offers" panel and the public seller profile pages of those sellers, using your own browser session on the Amazon page you are already on. These are the same public pages you could open yourself by clicking through the listing. The requests are throttled to a slow pace, they stop the moment Amazon signals a rate limit, and everything is parsed on your device and shown only to you. You can export the table as a CSV file that is generated locally and saved to your computer. Seller names link to the seller's public Keepa page; that link opens only when you click it.

It overlays these together so you can size up a product at a glance.

It Is Automation, Not an Agent

PATH Profit Zones is fixed, deterministic software. It does one specific thing, the same way every time, and only when you tell it to.

  • It does not make autonomous decisions or pursue goals of its own.
  • It does not run a perceive, decide, act loop.
  • It does not loop or retry to work around limits or controls.
  • It does not mimic human typing, clicking, or browsing patterns.
  • It does not solve CAPTCHAs or circumvent any access controls.

Every read of your Seller Central data is triggered by a direct action you take. When the underlying source is unavailable, the tool stops and tells you, rather than trying to push through.

It Does Not Scrape Competitors, Aggregate, or Resell

The seller information in the Offers Table is public storefront information from the listing you are already looking at, fetched by your own browser and shown only to you. PATH Profit Zones does not crawl storefronts, does not harvest competitor data beyond the listing in front of you, does not combine data across different accounts or users, and does not sell or share your data. Your Seller Central data is processed locally and shown only to you. It is never transmitted to us, stored on our servers, aggregated, or resold.

The One Report You Can Choose to Send Us

The Stock Gap section of the panel shows an Observed Sales reading for the sellers on a listing. If that reading looks wrong, you can click "Send to PPZ support". Nothing goes anywhere until you read a short confirmation of exactly what will be sent and click Send; Cancel sends nothing. The report contains the ASIN, the marketplace, the supply readings the extension calculated for that listing, the public Amazon seller ids on that listing (these identify storefronts, not you), and the extension version. It carries no license key, no email, no device id, no Seller Central data, and no page address, so we cannot connect it to you or reply to it. We use it only to check and correct the Stock Gap readings.

You Stay in Control

  • Per-session authorization. Seller Central access is off until you turn it on. You authorize it once per browsing session.
  • Pause anytime. You can pause Seller Central access whenever you want, and no further reads will happen until you resume.
  • It honors blocks. If Amazon signals that access should stop, the extension stops for that session instead of retrying.
